A globe-trotting tattoo artist

Tof has been tattooing since 1995. It all began in Madagascar, where he met Marco Leoni, a tattooing pioneer, who passed the craft on to him. He then travelled the island as an itinerant tattoo artist, opened his first shop in Antananarivo, and went on to Thailand to work with Jimmy Wong, the oldest tattoo artist in Bangkok.

In 2005, he opened Tattoo On Move in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, a name that speaks of his love of travel. The Carpentras tattoo shop followed in 2014, bringing tattooing and piercing together under the same name.

A jack of all trades, he still prefers Japanese and old school. Today, he devotes himself mostly to his two tattoo shops and his team, and tattoos the projects he chooses.

“You are always an apprentice. There is always something to learn from others.”

Scar tattoos and cover-ups

Together with Flo, Tof does tattoos over scars and cover-ups to cover or camouflage a scar or an old tattoo. A scar must, however, be completely mature before it is tattooed: allow a minimum of a year and a half (18 months) after it has formed.
