At our tattoo shop, lobe piercings are done with a needle, which offers many advantages over the piercing gun used by jewellers:

A cleaner, less traumatic piercing
Faster healing
The option to choose high-quality jewellery that is flat at the back, more comfortable for healing, or classic butterfly backs, depending on your preference.

Allow 2 to 4 months for lobes to heal completely (about 2 months for a first lobe, more like 4 for the following ones), which makes this one of the fastest piercings to heal as well as one of the least painful.

After 2 months, you can swap the jewellery we fitted at the time of piercing for the jewellery of your choice. Be careful, though: you should always keep a piece of jewellery in for at least the first year. Lobes can still close up very quickly during the first year, or even longer.

Depending on the shape of your ear, you can have more or fewer piercings in the lobes before reaching the cartilage. To find out whether you can have one more lobe piercing, drop in at the shop and ask our piercers. If the piercing goes through cartilage, healing will take longer and it is more of a helix piercing than a lobe piercing.

If you want an ear piercing that is not very painful and heals quickly, a lobe piercing is what you need!
