Navel Piercing
Navel
Navel
The navel piercing is one of the least painful piercings, but it is also the slowest to heal. Allow 6 to 12 months for complete healing. You will feel as though it has healed long before then, but we advise changing the jewellery after 6 months at the earliest.
Like all surface piercings, you need to avoid catching it so as not to risk rejection. A piercing is said to reject when the skin holding it becomes thinner and thinner until it disappears completely.
When choosing clothes, take care at first with high-waisted trousers and tights. If you feel any discomfort, change your clothes or cover it with a dressing made of a gauze pad and medical tape.
You should also avoid swimming for the first few months.
It is a piercing that suits every body shape. It can show off a lovely stomach, but also draw attention away from scars, stretch marks or other insecurities.
