Faux Rook Piercing
Faux Rook
Faux Rook
The faux rook is a particular placement of a flat piercing.
It is located towards the front and top of the ear, where the rook piercing sits. But unlike the rook, it is pierced horizontally and comes out at the back of the ear. It takes straight jewellery instead of the curved barbells used for the rook, which gives a wider choice of jewellery.
The piercing is a little painful but extremely quick. As with most cartilage piercings, it is the healing that gets complicated: allow between 3 and 9 months for complete healing. It is recommended not to sleep on the piercing throughout healing, to avoid slowing it down and making the piercing shift. So choose to have it done on the ear you sleep on least!
For healing, we will fit a straight piece of jewellery with a ball. You can choose between 3 models:
- implant-grade titanium jewellery with a set rhinestone
- gold anodised implant-grade titanium jewellery
- implant-grade titanium jewellery, with or without a rhinestone
Once your piercing has healed, you can change the jewellery. You can then opt for other straight pieces from our wide choice in the shop.
To sum up, the faux rook is an original variation on the rook that gives you a wide choice of jewellery!
