Microdermal Piercing

Microdermal:

The microdermal is quite different from a piercing, as it is really more of an implant. The implanted part is a tiny titanium plate (1 mm wide by 4 mm long) with a small internally threaded post that sits flush with the skin. The jewellery, which is the visible part of the microdermal, is screwed onto this post.

The implant side can be frightening, but it may reassure those who are afraid of needles, because we don't use any for this piercing.

It can be placed in many different spots such as:

the face (forehead/cheekbone)

the hollow of the neck, to give the illusion of a necklace

the centre of the chest, more or less visible depending on the neckline

the nape of the neck

the lower back, often placed symmetrically at the dimples of the back

the wrist, like a bracelet with no clasp

Etc …

It can also be placed in the centre of a tattoo, for a magnificent result!

You will need to protect it with a dressing for a few weeks. Aftercare is really easy because this piercing heals very well and quickly (2 to 4 months).

Contrary to what you might think, having it done is actually not very painful. The implanted jewellery is made of titanium, which cannot cause any allergy.

Contrary to what you might think, it can really last over time, as long as you are gentle with it.
