The vertical industrial piercing is a variation of the industrial piercing that you won't see often!

Like the classic industrial, it is the most painful and the slowest to heal of the cartilage piercings, for the following 3 reasons:

• The cartilage is pierced in two different places
• It is pierced with a larger diameter (1.6 mm instead of 1.2 mm for other cartilage piercings)
• The jewellery forces the piercing to heal in one very specific direction

Allow 3 to 12 months for healing, so you will need to arm yourself with patience and be rigorous with your aftercare.

The jewellery fitted on the day of the piercing is a long straight sterile titanium bar with a ball at each end, as shown in the photos. The bar is deliberately longer than the ear because slight swelling can occur during healing, and to leave you room to do the aftercare needed for the piercing to heal properly. During healing you will need to take particular care not to catch it in your hair, clothes, helmets …

It is important to point out that not every ear shape is compatible with the vertical industrial. To find out whether it can be done on your ear, and where, you will need to ask our piercers in the shop for advice directly.

As you will have gathered, the vertical industrial piercing takes a little more commitment than other ear piercings. But it is an original piercing that will not leave people indifferent!
