Jestrum Piercing

The Jestrum

The Jestrum sits in the middle of the upper lip. It is a variant of the vertical labret, on the upper lip instead of the lower lip.

The bottom ball sits on the lip and the top ball above the lip (like the Medusa piercing). Just like the vertical labret, it does not touch the inside of the mouth.

Moderately painful and quick to heal (2 to 4 months), it is not a very demanding piercing.

The jewellery fitted at the time of piercing is a banana-type piece. You can choose between:

• A piece with two titanium balls
• A piece with two gold anodised titanium balls
• A titanium piece with two set with zirconia stones

The stem of the jewellery is deliberately chosen longer to allow slight swelling of the area during healing. It can be swapped for a shorter one once healing is complete.
