Upper lobe

The upper lobe (or constellation lobe) is a classic lobe piercing placed above another lobe piercing. This placement often helps balance existing lobe piercings, for example when earlier piercings were done too low or not aligned. It can also dress well-developed lobes and add a touch of originality to your earrings. Allow 2 to 4 months for complete healing of the lobes (about 2 months for a first lobe, closer to 4 for the following ones), which makes it one of the quickest piercings to heal as well as one of the least painful. After 2 months, you can swap the jewellery we fitted at the time of piercing for the piece of your choice. We advise sticking to small jewellery, with a flat disc at the back for comfort. Please note that you should always keep a piece of jewellery in for at least the first year. Lobes can still close up very quickly during the first year, or even longer. If you want an original piercing that heals quickly, or you are not happy with the placement of your lobe piercings, do not hesitate to come to the shop and talk to our piercers about the best placement for an upper lobe given your build.
