## Christina

The Christina is a female genital piercing. It is a surface piercing placed vertically on the pubic area, between the pubis and the clitoris: the lower ball sits at the start of the outer labia.

It is done with surface jewellery: a bar passes under the skin, and only the two balls at the ends are visible. When you want to change the jewellery, you generally change only the balls.

Like all surface piercings, it needs to be protected from snagging to avoid the risk of rejection. A piercing is said to reject when the skin holding it gets thinner and thinner until it disappears completely.

It takes patience: allow 2 to 9 months for complete healing.

The piercing itself is fairly sensitive, but it becomes completely painless a few minutes afterwards.

Genital piercings are, at heart, more decorative than sexual. They are the most discreet and the sexiest piercings!
