## Small tattoos and first tattoos in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Carpentras

A name, a date, a little heart, a fine-line flower, a discreet symbol behind the ear: at TATTOO ON MOVE, a small tattoo is never a “small job”. We design, prepare and do it with the same care as a large piece, because you are going to wear it for the rest of your life. In our two tattoo shops in the Vaucluse, we do them all year round, and very often it is a first tattoo.

## The same care as a large piece

- **The same custom design**: even for a few centimetres, the tattoo artist adapts the motif to your skin, the placement and the size, so that it stays beautiful over time.
- **The same hygiene**: workstation cleaned and prepared before you arrive, sterile single-use equipment, just as for a session lasting several hours.
- **The same follow-up**: healing products provided, a check-up after healing and a touch-up if necessary.
- **The same time for you**: we take the time to answer your questions, show you the design and adjust it with you before we start.

## Attentive, especially for a first tattoo

No request is too small, and no question is silly. Unsure about the placement, the size or the motif? Afraid of the pain, or of regretting it? Come and talk about it at the tattoo shop, with no commitment: the tattoo artist listens to you, advises you honestly and tells you what will stand the test of time. Your wish remains the starting point: the tattoo artist advises, you decide. The full process is on our [First tattoo](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/info/first-tattoo) and [Tattoos and pain](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/info/tattoo-pain) pages.

## Small tattoo ideas

- **Words**: a child's name, a date, an initial, a short phrase, in a lettering style chosen with the tattoo artist.
- **Symbols**: a heart, a star, a moon, the infinity sign, a cross, a musical note.
- **Nature in fine line**: a flower, a branch, a leaf, a bee, a bird, a swallow.
- **Memories**: a handprint or footprint, a child's drawing, a motif shared with a loved one, or a [memorial tattoo](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/info/memorial-tattoo).
- **Flash designs**: small ready-made drawings, chosen from the tattoo artist's catalogue.

A motif often has a meaning for the person who wears it: the swallow for travel and return, the anchor for stability, the moon for cycles. Tell us yours, and the design will draw on it.

## Where to place a discreet small tattoo

The wrist, the inside of the forearm, the ankle, the nape of the neck, the collarbone, the ribs or behind the ear all suit small pieces, visible or easy to hide as you choose. Hands, fingers and feet rub and wear more: the tattoo artist tells you what to expect before starting.

## The right size so that it stays sharp

Over the years, ink spreads slightly in the skin. A tattoo that is too small or lettering that is too tightly spaced ends up closing up. The tattoo artist advises you on the minimum size so that your design stays legible in ten or twenty years, even if that means enlarging it by a few millimetres.

## Price of a small tattoo

The minimum price of a tattoo is €80. Beyond that, the price depends on the drawing and execution time, the size, the placement and the fineness of the details. It includes the drawing, sterile equipment, healing products (dressing and balm), a check-up after healing and a touch-up if necessary. The details are on the [Prices](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/info/prices) page.

## With or without an appointment

- **For a flash design or a small motif**, walk-ins are possible depending on the tattoo artist's availability. Booking online remains the surest way to get a slot.
- **For a custom drawing**, a first visit to the tattoo shop lets you present your idea, choose the size and the placement, and estimate the price. The drawing starts once the deposit has been paid, at least 30% of the price of the tattoo, deducted from the price.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is a small tattoo done with less care than a large piece?

No. Tailored design, hygiene, sterile equipment, advice and healing follow-up: a small tattoo gets exactly the same care as a large piece.

### Can I get a small motif without an appointment?

Yes, for a flash design or a small motif, depending on the tattoo artist's availability. To be sure of a slot, book online.

### How much does a small tattoo cost?

The minimum price of a tattoo is €80. The exact price depends on the time, the size, the placement and the fineness of the design.

### It's my first tattoo, how should I prepare?

Come with your idea, a few images you like and the placement you want. The tattoo artist advises you on the size and the design, explains how the session and the aftercare work, and answers all your questions before starting.

### Does a small tattoo fade over time?

It stays sharp if it is done at the right size and well looked after during healing. A check-up after healing and a touch-up if necessary are included in the price.

### Can we get the same tattoo as a pair?

Yes, as in one of our pieces. Let us know when booking, so that the time is allowed for both of you.

### What happens if I have to cancel?

The deposit is not refunded if the cancellation happens less than 48 hours before the appointment. So please let us know as early as possible.
