## New school and neo-traditional tattoos in the Vaucluse

## What defines these two styles

- **New school**: a comic-book style, with exaggerated shapes, bright colours and thick outlines, often full of humour.
- **Neo-traditional**: it starts from old school, with black outlines and bold colours, and adds details, shading and modern or realistic subjects.
- **Colour front and centre**: gradients, contrasts and highlights give the design volume.
- **A tattoo that reads from a distance**: the thick outline keeps the design sharp over the years.

## How a colour project works

A first visit to the tattoo shop is necessary: you present your idea and your references, the tattoo artist looks at the placement, and together you estimate the price and the time to book. Quotes are not given by email.

The design begins once the deposit has been paid, at least 30% of the price of the tattoo, deducted from the price. It is shown to you on the day of the session, and changes remain possible. The minimum price for a tattoo is €80.

### What is the difference between new school and neo-traditional?

New school exaggerates shapes, like a cartoon. Neo-traditional keeps the structure of old school, with more detail and shading. The tattoo artist helps you choose at your first appointment.

### Can I have a cartoon character tattooed?

Yes, the tattoo artist redraws it in their own hand for your placement: they do not copy an image as it is.

### Do bright colours last over time?

A thick outline and well-applied colours age well. Aftercare during healing and sun protection matter too.

### What happens if I need to cancel?

The deposit is not refunded if the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the appointment. So please let us know as early as possible.
