Everything you need to know before a tattoo or piercing at TATTOO ON MOVE, in our tattoo shops in [L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/info/general-information/l-isle-sur-la-sorgue) and [Carpentras](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/info/general-information/carpentras). Who we are: our [introduction](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/info/presentation).

## Your tattoo project

### A tattoo should be well thought through

Ask yourself the right questions about your motivations — a passing fashion or a real, serious desire? — and about the long-term consequences of your tattoo, professional, personal and social. **It will still be there in 20, 30 or 40 years.**

### A design made just for you

Our artists talk with you about your project, your expectations and your wishes. Bring one or more images you like — drawings, paintings, photos, style and placement references: we recommend it, and it helps us understand what you want.

A sketch can be done when you visit or at a drawing appointment. **On request, we create an image mock-up** so you can picture the placement and the look of your future tattoo. The final design is revealed to you on the day of the tattoo, and changes are still possible.

Don't get fixated on a tattoo that has already been done: **we never reproduce a piece that has already been made**. Your tattoo will be unique.

### The steps

1\. You [book online](https://onmove.simplybook.it/v2/) a quote appointment with the tattoo artist whose style you like.

2\. You meet them at the tattoo shop: you present your idea, you talk about placement, size and style, and they estimate the time and the price.

3\. You pay the deposit and set the date of the session; the design begins.

4\. On the day of the session, you discover the final design, then it is tattooed.

5\. Once it has healed, we check the tattoo and do a touch-up if needed.

For a small project or a flash design, walk-in tattooing is possible depending on the artists' availability.

## Prices and deposit

The price depends mostly on the time spent: researching and working on the design, doing the tattoo, and the materials. Size, placement, colours and the fineness of the details also count. **The minimum price of a tattoo is €80.**

The design is made after you pay the **deposit: at least 30% of the price of the tattoo, and at least €20**. It counts towards the price rather than being added to it, and it is not refunded if the appointment is cancelled less than 48 hours beforehand. Without a deposit, no design is started.

The details of what our prices include, and the list of piercing prices: see the [Prices](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/info/prices) page.

## Piercing

Piercing is done **with or without an appointment, subject to availability**, at the same prices in both our tattoo shops. To guarantee your slot, we recommend booking an appointment. First jewellery in ASTM-F136 titanium, sterile single-use equipment, aftercare products included and healing follow-up. All the details on our [Piercing](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/piercing) page.

## Under-18s

Lobe piercing from age 6. For a piercing, parental consent is required, and a parent must be present before the age of 16, and is preferable after that. Tattooing is possible from age 16, with a parent's written consent. All the rules: [tattoos and piercings for under-18s](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/info/tattoo-piercing-minors).

## Your health and the consent form

Our team follows the hygiene rules for tattooing and piercing, and our [code of ethics & shop rules](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/info/code-of-ethics-shop-rules).

Before the session, you fill in a **health questionnaire** and sign a **consent form**. Tell us anything about your health — allergy, treatment, pregnancy, anything else — that could affect healing or the result: the consent form releases the tattoo artist or piercer from liability in the event of poor healing, a medical complication or a false declaration on the questionnaire. The contraindications are explained on the [health & safety](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/info/health-and-safety) page.

## The day of the session

Tattooing doesn't like stress: relax. Remember to **get a good night's sleep and eat well**.

For long sessions, a relaxation area awaits you in both our tattoo shops: **free tea and coffee, iced tea in summer**, a fridge and microwave so you can have lunch on site, and wifi.

We work with **sterile single-use equipment**, on a workstation cleaned and prepared before you arrive.

## Afterwards: aftercare

Our tattoo artists and piercers do their job 100%: it is up to you to follow the aftercare so that healing goes well and your new skin or new jewellery looks its best. An **aftercare sheet** is handed to you in person and explained verbally; the products you need are provided. All the instructions: [aftercare](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/info/aftercare).

A question while it heals? Contact your tattoo shop. For a piercing, a [check-up visit](https://tattoo-on-move.fr/en/piercing/jewellery-change-follow-up/check-up-visit) is free.

## Frequently asked questions
